Modern brushes born in a historic Hiroshima town

Based in the most famous brush-making town in Japan, SHAQUDA brings modern designs to life using traditional techniques that have been nurtured in the town of Kumano, Hiroshima prefecture, for the past 180 years.

Aiming to enrich and add comfort to daily life, the brand has developed a range of high quality brushes with minimal designs and hand finished tips. The Ubu series of ethical makeup brushes feature an integrated design that removes the need for a metal ferrule. Velvet-like brush fibres are complemented by a walnut handle that fits comfortably in the hand. Developed to bring a sense of relaxation to your skincare routine, the Suvé series includes body brushes in a range of sizes, along with face cleansing brushes and other tools. Beautiful design and an uncompromising approach to craftsmanship give the brushes a refined yet luxurious feel.

SHAQUDA also offers a number of gift sets to suit a range of occasions. Beautifully presented in Paulownia wooden boxes, the sets come with a leather case and include a selection of the brand’s signature brushes, which combine a dedicated approach to design with craftsmanship and a unique sense of style.
