Explore the Flavours of Hanami"Japan’s traditional hanami (cherry blossom viewing) season is an opportunity to enjoy delicious Japanese food for yourself. The traditions and crafts of hanami and Japanese cuisine are introduced along with the 'omotenashi' spirit of hospitality through photographs, videos and experience-based events. Make sure to try the special hanami-themed assorted plates prepared by four renowned young proprietors of traditional washoku (Japanese traditional cuisine) restaurants.

Live Cooking Performance: Kinobu’s New Take on Hanami Cuisine

The unmissable event to close the Flavor of Hanami is award winning chef Takuji Takahashi, the third generation owner of Kinobu that has 80 plus years of history as an authentic Japanese cuisine based in Kyoto. He will demonstrate a live-cooking performance three times a day on 18th and 19th March where you can witness the state of the art technique of his unique old-meets-new cuisine and beauty behind it. Fortunate 25 first-comers will be treated with some assorted plates of his special menu! Close your eyes with your five senses fully open, imagine if you’re under gorgeous cherry blossoms in Kyoto, and experience Takahashi’s sophisticated take on Hanami Tasting!
